Swami Vivekananda - Indian Idol

I just wanted to talk about this amazing pearl which is found in India.Swami Vivekananda.Swami Vivekananda was born in Shimla on 12th january 1863.His name was Narendranath Datta.His father Vishwananatha Datta was an attorney in Calcutta High Court.His mother Bhuvaneshwari Devi was pious,prayed lord shiva of varanasi to give her a son.Narendra's thinking and personality were influenced by his parents.In his early days he became familiar with Western philosophy and science.He use to refuse to accept anything without rational proof and pragmatic test.Narendra started his education at home,later he was admitted to Metropolitan Institution of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar in 1871 and 1879 he passed Entrance Exam.His activities are more and he was interested in Vedas,Bhagavad Gita,Ramayana,Mahabarata and Puranas.He was also well versed in classical music(vocal and instrumental).For more information you can visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swami_Vivekananda which gives a full details about Vivekananda.
